As much as BFA was awful, the HoA wasn't a bad system

As much as BFA was awful, the HoA wasn't a bad system when they secured it up and they could've easily done more with this moving into Shadowlands. Hippity hoppity that the HoA currently absorbs anima congratz problem solved we don't have to scrap it for something else again.

Why have we gone through 4 iterations of garrisons now? Why don't you just base it in SW/ORG and enlarge upon it with every new xpac instead of going from Garrisons to Order Halls to this fucking ship to Covenants. Have a garrison type instance in SW/ORG. Plan around it being used longer term, new expansion released and you're able to build the expansion special building that'll advance the narrative. Or the NPCs just appear to progress the story. Having it as an example in the big cities will fix the"everyone is in their own garrison" issue.

It is absurd that much development time has spent on expansion specific material. Island expeditions. Warfronts. Or when did they figure out that warfronts weren't going to work as intended. It turned out to be a significant characteristic of the bfa expansion and imo was mostly a dud of a feature. Same with islands. It could have been just so much better but only turned into a slog festival of azerite grinding. It is a huge waste of money to design a system which only lasts an expansion.

It is so difficult for me to get around the thought that blizz knows what they are doing when they employ a system. They place systems in half completed intentionally. Look at the legendaries in legion. Participants were saying, making posts on official forums, the system they were applying for legendaries was terrible and was only going to upset the participant base. Silence. It was put in as is of course, people were upset. We had people in my guild who'd 3 legendaries at the start of EN. Some had two, most had 1, some had none whatsoever. Even people who had at least didn't necessarily get what they wanted/needed. It required blizzard buffing the fall rates on legiondaries to make it feel better with"bad luck protection". It took the entire expansion for them to put out the system as it ought to have been from the beginning. They understand but for the sake of MAUs they include in buffs and modifications to systems to get people to stay or come back.
