Transparency is our core value. This policy explains what data we collect, how we protect it, your rights regarding your data, and how we utilize escrow logs to prevent fraud.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Data: Name, username, email, phone number, and profile details provided during registration.
  • Financial & Escrow Data: Wallet balances, transaction history, payout requests, and dispute evidence logs.
  • Security Signals: IP addresses, device identifiers, and country codes to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Communications: Chat logs and media (only utilized for moderation or if a dispute is raised).

2. How We Use Information

  • To operate and maintain your VillaHandle account.
  • To securely process payments, manage the Escrow Guardian system, and issue payouts.
  • To investigate and mediate disputes between buyers and sellers.
  • To enforce our terms, prevent fraud, and block malicious IP addresses.

Security & Fraud Prevention

We actively use location (IP/Country) and device data to block known abusive networks and prevent financial fraud on the platform.

3. Account & Data Deletion (Your Rights)

You have the absolute right to request the deletion of your account and personal data. We provide a straightforward process to exercise this right.

  • In-App Deletion: You can delete your account automatically by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the app or website.
  • Manual Request: Alternatively, you can email privacy@villahandle.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

Data Retention Policy

Upon deletion, your profile, posts, and media are removed. However, to comply with anti-money laundering (AML) laws and prevent fraud, financial transaction records and dispute logs may be retained securely for up to 5 years.

4. Data Sharing

We never sell your personal data to advertisers. Information is only shared strictly when necessary:

  • With verified payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) to handle deposits and withdrawals.
  • With law enforcement if presented with a valid subpoena or if investigating severe policy violations (e.g., child safety).

5. Cookies & Tracking

VillaHandle uses standard browser cookies and local storage tokens to:

  • Keep you logged securely into your session.
  • Remember your preferences (e.g., dark mode).
  • Provide basic analytics to help us improve server load and app response times.

6. Children's Privacy & Safety Standards

VillaHandle requires users to be at least 18 years of age to utilize our monetary, gig, and escrow features.

In accordance with our Child Safety Standards (CSAE Policy), we have a zero-tolerance policy for the exploitation of minors. We actively scan for, report, and preserve data related to any illegal activities involving minors to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local authorities.
